Our Current Facility Is Cramped With Very Limited Space.

Our goal is to reach the 30,000 visually impaired persons of all ages, living in our service area of Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Schuyler, Tioga and Tompkins counties, plus the Pennsylvania counties of Bradford, Susquehanna and Tioga.

In order to accomplish this goal, we have taken a bold step forward.  We see it as investing in the vision to bring our services to the men, women, children and families in need of them.

Our new Center of Excellence in Vision Rehabilitation and Employment necessitates a major campaign to raise $3.1 million.  This will allow us to purchase and renovate a larger building.
 

• Services for double the number of blind and visually impaired people of all ages who will live, learn and work with greater independence and dignity.
   
• Comprehensive services that equal or exceed the services available in similar upstate communities.
   
• An additional 45 to 50 jobs in our community.

• Vision rehabilitation services that reduce or delay government expenditures.
   
• "One Stop Shopping" for Vision Rehabilitation and Employment.
   
• Safe, efficient and attractive space for both employment and services with room for expansion in the future.
   

• A highly valued community resource that benefits the entire region socially and economically.
   

This is a large undertaking, which needs both the moral and financial support
of the community.
