I. JOB IDENTIFICATION
A. TITLE: Facilities Maintenance Specialist (Assistant)
B. REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager (Supervisor)
II. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The primary responsibility of the Facilities Maintenance Assistant is to assist the Facilities Supervisor with the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of equipment, facilities, and mechanical systems. He/she will perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and repair tasks. Responsibilities will include maintenance of the building exterior and property, including weather related duties.
A. Professional, clear, and concise verbal and written communication skills are required.
B. Communication with Facilities Supervisor is frequent and ongoing.
C. Communication with Director of Manufacturing is frequent and ongoing.
D. Communication with Production Manager is as needed.
E. Communication with production and shipping staff as needed.
V. SUPERVISION REQUIRED
The position involves direct supervision from the Facilities Supervisor and/or Director of Manufacturing, as appropriate.
VI. EDUCATION REQUIRED
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
