OUR FOUNDATION

The Foundation for Vision Rehabilitation and Employment, Inc. was incorporated in 1999 as a 501(c)(3) corporation.  Its purpose is to assist the Association for Vision Rehabilitation and Employment, Inc. grow all of its resources. This includes the Endowment fund (Investment portfolio) as well as its reputation, image and visibility in the community. The Foundation is restricted to funding activities and programs of the Association for Vision Rehabilitation and Employment, Inc.

The Foundation offers a strong vehicle to enhance services and programs that assist the people of our community who have a vision disability. It has taken on the task of prudently managing the long-term growth of the endowment fund.

The Foundation has its own Board of Directors made up of community leaders. The Association and the Foundation annually agree upon an amount to be transferred from the Endowment to the Association to support operations, program growth and improvement. The Association manages the day to day affairs for the Foundation.

Donors, estate planners and others who have may be considering the Association are encouraged to explore both the Foundation and the Association. Either may receive gifts that will benefit people with a vision disability.
