VISION AIDS STORE

One of the many valuable services A.V.R.E. has offered for many years has been to provide the opportunity for our visually impaired consumers or their families to purchase low vision related aids and devices.  Attractively laid out with lighted shelving units and glass-covered counters, our store provides a place where vision aids can be displayed and shown to customers.

The adaptive aids and devices we sell include a very wide variety of adaptive items specifically designed to make life easier for people with little or no vision -- items such as talking clocks, liquid-level indicators, special kitchen utensils, large-print playing cards, and Braille and talking watches.  Additionally, we carry magnifying devices and white canes, which are sold "by prescription" only.

We are also displaying and selling blind-made paper products that we manufacture on-site.  A.V.R.E. is currently the only business in downtown Binghamton that sells computer paper, copier and printer paper, manila file folders, and pressboard binders.

We also carry a line of "green" cleaning products, called JAWS (Just Add Water System).

Our store hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM.
